Plasma Cell Dyscrasia Without Bone Lesions

Abstract

Rarely does a patient with multiple myeloma, diagnosed by bone marrow biopsy and serum electrophoresis, survive for 11 years. In this case the long survival period cast doubt on the original diagnosis and led to debate concerning the genesis of plasma cell dyscrasias and monoclonal gammopathies.
