Sizing Up the Small Child

Abstract

Undersized children seen in a growth clinic range all the way from genetic dwarfs for whom no treatment is available to pathetic youngsters literally starved both emotionally and physically or equally tragic cretins whose brains are unsalvageable. For two of the patients described here, loving care was truly a wonder drug.
