Abstract

Urticaria due to cold or cooling is a not uncommon entity and presents many diagnostic and therapeutic problems. Obviously a patient with cold urticaria should try to avoid exposure to cold, but this is seldom a practical solution to his problem. Better means of control can now be offered to most patients. The physician must be alert to underlying diseases which may be associated with this unique and interesting physical “allergy.”
