Abstract
When a patient seeks the immunizations he needs for international travel, the physician has a chance to offer useful suggestions for general and specific health care abroad. A medical kit made up of a dozen or so standard items plus any special medication can spare the traveler hours or days of discomfort or inconvenience, wherever in the world he plans to travel. One of these items should be written prescriptions for drugs that are likely to be of concern to customs officers.
