Abstract
The goal of the Missouri Regional Medical Program is to meet physicians' and patients' needs in the local setting. In working toward this objective, the Program has developed computerized services to give physicians in remote areas immediate help with diagnostic problems. Televised lectures and sources for retrieving articles from the literature provide continuing education. Teams of specialists travel throughout the state to evaluate stroke patients, pharmaceutical services, and biomedical instrumentation. The Program also provides laboratory and radiologic services and promotes existing programs of state and national agencies.
