Abstract

A 64 year old man, hospitalized because of a skin rash, gave a history of weight loss, anorexia, lethargy, constipation, heartburn and nocturia. A palpable mass in the neck moved with deglutition, but a thyroid scan was normal. Pathologic examination of the mass showed it to be a parathyroid adenoma with cystic degeneration.
