, D.Sc.
Pages 99-105 | Published online: 16 May 2016

Abstract

Eating practices of adolescents, both obese and nonobese, vary highly among groups and individuals. Data representative of the United States as a whole are not yet available. Evidence indicates that the obese may eat fewer calories than the nonobese and that their nutrient intakes are likely to be lower. The overall physical activity level of adolescents appears to be low.
