Medical Care Needs of the Aged

First of Two Parts

Abstract

The higher incidence of illness among the elderly, as compared with younger adults, apparently indicates their greater need for care. However, obstacles such as finances and transportation, coupled with the attitudes of the aged themselves and of the medical personnel who attend them, prevent most of the aged from actually receiving adequate medical care.
