Abstract

Many youngsters are “poor lēarners” because they have fluid ear and cannot hear well. The best treatment available for this common condition is so-called PE tube placement. Besides controlling the conductive hearing loss until the child outgrows the “fluid ear age,” there is reason to believe that this treatment may lower the chances of permanent ear damage.
