Abstract
Most gynecologic problems can be managed by office visits. The principal problems of the reproductive years, and often the problems before and after these years, are associated with menstruation. Among the valuable procedures in office gynecology are colposcopy, cryosurgery, cervical biopsy, and use of the negative-pressure uterine lavage system. Interpretation of the Papanicolaou smear, an important diagnostic procedure, demands knowledge of the pathologist's classifications.
