Abstract
Elderly persons are subject to degenerative disorders of the eyelids, such as baggy eyelids, herniation of orbital fat, and either outward or inward relaxation of the lid margin. Surgical repair may be necessary to provide functional vision or to correct cosmetic deformity. Careful observation and diagnosis are mandatory in both malignant and nonmalignant tumors of the eyelids. Malignant tumors should, of course, be excised.
