Pages 119-125 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

The growing list of drugs available to the public and the medical profession has made a working knowledge of drug eruptions a necessity for the practicing physician. One of the major errors in management is stopping only the drug given just before the adverse reaction began. The probable pathogenic mechanisms of drug eruptions, the most common reaction patterns, and the steps to be considered in management are discussed here.
