“Differential” Treatment of the Elderly Black: Victims of Stereotyping

Abstract

The plight of countless elderly persons in our society is represented by two case reports pointing up a need for selective social intervention within the framework of total medical care. Physicians are encouraged to become advocates of change in the direction of more responsible social planning for the elderly, particularly the elderly black.
