Abstract

Amenorrhea following discontinuance of oral contraceptives is relatively uncommon, but can be a frustrating experience both for the patient eager for conception and for her physician. In most cases, “post-Pill” amenorrhea remits spontaneously in time; in others, ovarian stimulation is indicated. In either situation, a large amount of patience is necessary.
