Abstract

Society proposes that a minimum standard of health care is a human right. To meet society's needs, the health care system in this country must correct glaring deficiencies. Medical students must receive more training in primary health care. Medical manpower must be reevaluated and ancillary personnel must assume increasingly responsible roles. Teaching hospitals must be evaluative, experimental and critical in relating to social needs and in training personnel to meet th ose needs.
