Drug Use as a Way of Life

Abstract

Conflicting attitudes of society and medicine have militated against the understanding, control and treatment of drug abuse. Educational action is needed rapidly, rather than moral and legal dialogue. Educational efforts must be directed especially at parents of schoolchildren. We must use the most current scientific data to achieve the ultimate goal—behavioral and attitudinal change.
