Abstract

A rare case of hypercalcemia associated with chronic lymphocytic leukemia is presented. The resistant nature of the hypercalcemia and multiple clinical and therapeutic complications necessitated different approaches to treatment, including the use of prednisone, saline solution, phosphate, mithramycin, and sodium sulfate. The hypercalcemia was alleviated only during the short period that the primary disease was controlled.
