Abstract
On the basis of present knowledge, anticoagulant therapy is indicated in several cardiac conditions, including preinfarction angina and valvular heart disease with atrial fibrillation. Aspirin therapy for prevention of thromboembolism is indicated in patients undergoing hip surgery.
