Differential Diagnosis of Anemia

, MD
Pages 95-100 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

When anemia develops rapidly without time for physiologic adjustment, nonspecific symptoms tend to be prominent. When it develops slowly, physiologic adjustment may be so perfect that even very anemic patients may have few or no nonspecific symptoms. Specific symptoms are related largely to individual organs involved in the underlying disease.
