Prophylactic Uses of Antiarrhythmic Drugs in Acute Myocardial Infarction

Abstract

No antiarrhythmic drug has been universally accepted for routine prophylaxis of arrhythmias in acute myocardial infarction. However, most physicians agree that therapy should begin as soon as possible after symptoms of infarction appear.
