Abstract

All too often we see neglected wounds with unnecessary infection. For many years now the medical profession has benefited from the tetanus immunization of large numbers of military personnel. With the passage of time and the decreasing number of people in the armed forces, we may well be faced with an increase in tetanus unless the principles noted in this timely paper are strictly adhered to. These principles are applicable to wounds on any part of the body.—MSR
