Diabetes and Addison's Disease

Abstract

In 19 cases of associated diabetes and Addison's disease seen at the Joslin Clinic, diabetes preceded adrenal insufficiency in all but one instance. The most striking feature of the superimposed adrenal disorder was increased insulin sensitivity, with lower insulin requirement and frequent hypoglycemic reactions.
