Concepts of Coronary Bypass Surgery

Abstract

The objective of coronary bypass surgery is complete myocardial revascularization. As many as six grafts have been placed in one patient. Surgical mortality has declined, dropping to less than 1% at the Ochsner Clinic in the past three years. The graft of choice is internal mammary artery.
