Abstract
Diagnosis of bacterial meningitis is highly dependent on proper evaluation of cerebrospinal fluid. Drs. Hyslop and Swartz provide guidelines for processing cerebrospinal fluid and assessing the findings. They suggest various physical findings that may be helpful in diagnosing a particular form of meningitis prior to specifie identification. Many of the problems that follow meningitis are enumerated.-HCN
