Abstract

Dr. Gocke reviews important advances in the differentiation of hepatitis B by use of serologic techniques, outlines the important clinical correlations of the hepatitis B surface antigen and the problems of the carrier state, and compares the clinical aspects of types A and B hepatitis. As he documents, we have much to learn about hepatitis and its relation to chronic liver disease.—HCN
