Abstract

Methods useful in controlling the spread of viral hepatitis include: prompt reporting of cases, educating patients and their close contacts as to the need for scrupulous personal hygiene, removing or isolating any suspected contaminated vehicle (such as food or water), and using adequate sterilization procedures.
