Abstract

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is not a single entity but a heterogeneous group of lymphoreticular malignancies. Classification by cell type is helpful in understanding the natural history and in planning therapy. Persons with certain congenital immune-deficiency syndromes and acquired conditions are at increased risk of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
