Treatment of hodgkin disease and non-hodgkin lymphoma

Abstract

With intensive megavoltage radiotherapy and polychemotherapy, cure of advanced Hodgkin disease is possible. The outlook is not as encouraging in non-Hodgkin lymphoma. More knowledge is needed about the relationship between the histopathologic type of lymphoma and the response to drugs or irradiation, and better chemotherapeutic combinations must be developed.
