Many studies have been done to assess the efficacy of platelet inhibitors, particularly aspirin, in the prevention of recurrent transient ischemic attacks and ultimately stroke. Dr Ramirez-Lassepas reviews the results of 19 prospective trials and concludes that we are still a long way from a definitive answer.
