Should you consider automation?

Abstract

Automated equipment is available to carry out many of the laboratory tests frequently called for in a primary care practice. Use of such equipment can hasten clinical decisions and minimize testing error. Dr Wróblewski presents guidelines for selecting equipment appropriate for a particular practice and outlines the uses of specific automated equipment.
