Abstract

At the 1984 meeting of the Interstate Postgraduate Medical Assembly in Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of hearing Dr Frank Jirka., immediate past president Of the American Medical Association, speak on a topic of special pertinence in this time of stress and even distress for those engaged in the practice of medicine. We are pleased to present his remarks here.
