Abstract

Discomfort or incapacitation during travel because of something as mundane as diarrhea is enough to frustrate the most seasoned traveler. There are ways of dealing with the disease when it attacks, however, and also of preventing its occurrence in the first place, although many of these remain topics of active debate. Drs Lange and Kreider here review what is known to date about this unpleasant travel companion.
