A common but often overlooked condition

Pulmonary hypertension, a relatively rare primary disorder, occurs commonly as a result of many underlying conditions. Because pulmonary blood pressure is not routinely measured, however, presence of the disorder is often not recognized and symptoms are neglected. Dr Goldstein presents the physiologic, pathologic, and clinical features of pulmonary hypertension and discusses its management.
