Four major carcinogens that put workers at risk

The importance of occupational factors is often underestimated in the search for the cause of a patient's skin cancer. Four major groups of carcinogens have been identified in the workplace, and workers can be exposed to them in any number of occupations. In this article, Drs Travis and Arndt provide some of the historical background behind occupational skin cancer and point out the necessity of gathering an occupational history from patients and informing them of potential hazards and preventive measures.
