Recent findings have added to the body of knowledge regarding tachyarrhythmias and help in differentiating those that are harmless from those that are malignant. In this review of the advances in supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias, Drs Saksena and Gadhoke emphasize choice of the appropriate laboratory technique for diagnosis and a systematic approach to selection of antiarrhythmic therapy and monitoring.
