Adding life to later years through exercise

Exercise may not add years to people's lives, but it can add life to their years. Old age need not mean the decline of physical activity if an exercise program is adopted early and continued throughout life. However, modification of exercise intensity may be necessary with advancing years. The authors offer a wealth of advice on prescribing exercise for elderly patients, whatever their chronologic, physical, and psychologic age.
