Abstract
The possibility of widespread influenza is of concern as each winter approaches. What are the prospects for this year? How effective have immunization efforts been? An invitation to the first session of a national influenza education program gave us the opportunity to hear answers to these questions from infectious disease experts. We asked Beth Grendahl, our recently retired executive editor, to cover the meeting for us.—R.B.H.
