Nasal symptoms (eg, congestion, obstruction, sneezing) may occur in children in response to allergens, changes in temperature or humidity, or presence of polyps. Once the cause is determined, medical or surgical treatment is often successful. Dr McDonald describes the identifying features of allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, and nasal polyps and recommends ways to treat them.
