Ultrasonographic imaging of the scrotum is an accurate and safe diagnostic tool for differentiating testicular from extratesticular abnormalities. It is extremely well suited for the detection of malignant neoplasm and can also detect spermatoceles, varicoceles, epididymitis, hydroceles, and testicular torsion. Dr Rockey and Dr Cusack provide illustrative cases highlighting the usefulness of ultrasonography in evaluating scrotal contents.
