Most injuries of the cervical spine occur in young people, and the neurologic effects may be catastrophic. However, early diagnosis and proper management starting at the scene of injury can often prevent permanent sequelae. Dr Lehman discusses methods of evaluating these injuries and suggests an appropriate sequence of treatment.
