Pages 91-100 | Published online: 16 May 2016

The internal effects of tumor growth can influence many distant and apparently unrelated body systems. The authors describe several paraneoplastic conditions that can accompany cancer or metastasis. In some, the connection between cancer and the external condition is obvious, but in others, it is obscure. Familiarity with the conditions described and the types of malignancy that they often accompany can be a valuable diagnostic aid.
