What to do for a successful outcome

Because of its prominence and central location on the face, the nose is the most common site of fracture in maxillofacial trauma. Nasal fractures usually pose no threat to life but can be serious if accompanied by severe epistaxis or airway obstruction. According to Dr Martinez, the treating physician's priorities are early reduction and identification of related injuries. Knowledge of the direction of force applied to the nose aids in assessing injuries.
