Good medical care often depends on laboratory test results, and, as Dr Rosenblum points out, a physician's ability to provide good care can be impaired by delayed access to important test results. Dr Rosenblum and his colleagues recently established a small automated office laboratory, and in this practical and timely article, he shares their experiences and offers sound criteria and advice for physicians contemplating the pros and cons of in office testing.
