Chest pain associated with esophageal disease

While cardiac disease is the cause best known and most feared by patients, it is by no means the only cause of chest pain. Esophageal disease is a prominent consideration. However, the striking similarity between esophageal anginalike symptoms and true cardiac symptoms makes differentiation difficult. Drs Holtz and Castell present information to help primary care physicians diagnose and treat esophageal chest pain.
