Update on traveler's diarrhea

Whatever their destination—whether a mountain range in the Himalayas or a coastal paradise in Mexico—travelers are vulnerable to gastrointestinal problems. Dr Strum offers a brief profile of some of the pathogens most commonly responsible for traveler's diarrhea and suggests some commonsense measures for minimizing the chances of becoming infected and for treating this debilitating illness.
