Borderline personality disorder

When patients with borderline personality disorder are admitted to the hospital for medical reasons, staff members may be unaware of the presence of a psychiatric disturbance. Often, disruptive behavior is the first sign of this disorder. Dr Moss recommends specific behavioral, pharmacologic, and educational interventions for dealing with these patients and presents a brief case report.
