Malignant hyperthermia is an uncommon condition that has been linked to some inhalational anesthetics and some muscle relaxants used during anesthesia. Patients present with life- threatening high fever, muscle rigidity, acidosis, and hyperkalemia. Death may quickly follow if the condition is not properly identified and treated.
