How to manage other risk factors in patients with hypertension

Even a mild elevation in blood pressure is a powerful risk factor for premature morbidity and mortality. The presence of other factors (eg, diabetes or hypercholesterolemia) greatly increases the risk that already exists with even mild hypertension. In this article, Dr Borhani profiles such a hypertensive patient and recommends an approach to medical management.
