During the summer, when people spend more time outdoors, the problems associated with sun exposure increase. In this timely article, Dr Potts reviews the short- and long-term effects of exposure to the sun and defines the proper use of sunscreens. He also makes several recommendations for patients to enhance their safe enjoyment of the sun.
