Adenocarcinoma is the most common type of prostate cancer, and pulmonary metastasis occurs in one third or fewer of these cases. Because evidence of metastasis is rarely seen on chest films, other procedures are necessary to confirm the diagnosis. The authors present the case of an elderly man with adenocarcinoma of the prostate, which was diagnosed after evaluation of a pulmonary nodule.
